*OVERVIEW: Look, we hate having to lay out rules as much as you hate having to follow them. So we’ve identified the things that are REALLY important to us so please read them and be respectful of our needs so we can be great hosts for you. * PROFILE PICTURE: Please upload a profile picture where we can identify you by sight. This is our only way of ensuring we let you in and not a stranger. We require the names of all guests in your party at the time you book. The guest in whose name the booking is made must be physically present at check-in unless previously agreed. * CHECK IN/CHECK OUT: Check in is any time after 3PM, Check out by 11AM. * PETS: For the comfort of our own pets, we do not allow any other animals in the house. Our dogs are not allowed upstairs (where the guest rooms are) & they are crate trained. * USE OF OUR HOME: You are welcome in all common areas of the home and our yard; please do not enter the attached or detached garage. Want to play some music or watch a show on your laptop – go ahead. You may want to bring headphones if you watch during quiet hours. *VISITORS: We are perfectly happy having people pop by to pick up our guests, but we would prefer that you not use our home to entertain them. We’d be happy to help you find other places to spend time with your family and friends, for example working out details to pack a picnic to take or making a dinner reservation. Guests booking a Private Room may not entertain visitors without prior agreement from the Host. No Extra overnight guests, outside visitors or Parties without previous approval from your host. * OVERNIGHT GUESTS: All overnight guests need to be approved in advance through the booking process and are subject to an additional fee as noted in the price. * COOKING: You are welcome to use the microwave, glassware & dishes for anything you’ve brought for yourself. If you desire a home-cooked meal instead of eating out, please work that out in advance. Clean all dishes after use & return to where you found them (This helps keep cleaning fees down). If you would like to use any of the food from our refrigerator or cabinets, please ask the host first. * FRIDGE USAGE AND BREAKFAST: You can put food in the refrigerator, please label any food with your name and date. We’ll have a continental breakfast and coffee for you. A few snacks are provided for you in your room. * NO EATING IN YOUR ROOM: If you intend to eat a meal at home, please sit down in the kitchen, dining room, or on the back porch instead of eating in your room. Drinks can be had anywhere in the house. Snacks/munchies are ok in the room. * BATHROOM: Only toilet paper & human waste is to be flushed down the toilet. * NO SMOKING: There is no smoking on the property. * QUIET HOURS: We prefer to keep it to a dull roar after 10:00 and before 7am. We gotta sleep some time & some of have to work the next day. Waking us up in the middle of the night is not cool. * LEAVE BEHIND WHAT YOU DON’T USE: We’ll do our best to anticipate what you may need by way of extra towels, blankets or such. Shampoo, conditioner, & soap are available while you are staying with us along with some other spiffs & we expect you to leave behind what you don’t use during your stay. If you don’t see what you need, please ask. * TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENTS: If you are hot or cold, please ask us to adjust the air rather than adjusting it yourself. You have an adjustable overhead fan in your room for your personal comfort. *LAUNDRY- Use of washer & dryer is not permitted for stays of less than 1 week. – If you are staying for at least one week, please ask before starting laundry. (2 load maximum) *CHILDREN: Our property is not safe or suitable for children under 12 years *ILLEGAL ACTIVITY: Do not engage in illegal activities anywhere on the property. This applies to both drugs and internet activity. *BBQ GRILL: Please shut off the propane tank and clean the BBQ after use. Cleaning wipes and spray are provided. *SECURITY: Please close and lock the doors as you exit the residence if you are the last one home. We have set up security cameras on the exterior of the house for safety. *SAFETY: First aid kit is located in the white wicker stand located on the other side of the eating area wall. ABC Fire extinguisher is under the kitchen sink. Please, do not use any open flame (i.e. candles) in your room. There is a ladder in the hallway closet if you have to exit the second story window for a fire. Valerie is Advanced First Aid Certified – let’s hope we don’t need to use this knowledge! *PARKING: Please feel free to unload your luggage on the front porch and park your car on the circle drive. *POOL SAFETY: Please be safe, no solo swimming in the pool. Do not sit on the inside furniture in wet clothing.
